We had the pleasure of living next to Christine at Trent Drive and a huge silver lining of covid for us was making the time to properly get to know her (and Angie!)
I have a story I'd like to share about our first proper interactions with Christine - I'd never properly met Christine (other than the odd short conversation you have with neighbours rather than actual friends) but she had my husbands number as he'd helped her with some plumbing bits.. a few weeks after popping over he gets a video from Christine and it was one of those viral videos that did the rounds of someone attempting to park their car and failing miserably... she messaged him with the message 'I didn't realise Jazz had got a new car' my husband found it HILARIOUS! I was honestly gobsmacked but knew from that moment we'd be friends.
We don't have any other friends in their 70's that we invite over for dinner but there was truly something special about Christine.
A truly kind, generous, quick witted, open minded, "independent Annie" as I believe her mother called her.
She will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
Thanks for all the lovely memories, gardening tips and tricks (and for giving us a lovely view of your stunning garden for all those years!) we'll miss you xxx
